Metropolis Mini Blanket

Hello Lovelies!
I do hope you are all well?
An exciting post to share with you all today...
I was given the luxury of having a sneak peak at the brand spanking new Scheepjes Metropolis Mini packs and have been hard at work behind the scenes having a play with them.

These teeny tiny balls of luxury (75% Merino, 25% nylon) come in cute little 10g balls and the set houses all 80 shades!!! I was thrilled when the postman delivered them to me!

I got straight to work plotting out what I was going to make with them, and rather enjoyed messing around with colour combinations and colour order.

Look how very cute the balls are....teeny tiny!

A smidgen of the size compared to the original 50g balls.

Once I had settled on my idea and the order of my colours, I got to work. Hooking away!
I had decided on a rather classic granny square blanket, bordered in a simple grey to really make each of the shades pop!
These balls were perfect to carry in my bag and the majority of this project was made somewhere along the London Picadilly line, between Holloway and Hammersmith. :-)
I would take a ball, make a square and then replace the square into the sleeve. This meant that I kept the square nice and organised with the sleeve that contained all of the colour info.

I loved how the classic grannies worked up!

Here it is in all of it's glory! Very happy with how this turned out! Now that's a sunny blanket!

A gorgeous feast of colour! Using78 out of the 80 shades of Scheepjes Metropolis. Isn't it yummy!
